Pastor Harold H. Cadwell, Jr., was born on April 7, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan to Harold and Faye Cadwell. He was born again on the 1st Sunday of November, 1977 at the New Grace Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. W.D. McClung.
In September of 1987, while attending Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga., Rev. Cadwell accepted the call of Jesus Christ to preach the Gospel. He preached his first sermon and was licensed on January 24, 1988 by the late Pastor Major E. Smith at the Union Grace Missionary Baptist Church. He was ordained into the Gospel Ministry on January 13, 1991.
In June, 1991, Rev. Cadwell was led by the Spirit to the New Providence Baptist Church, under the anointed pastoral leadership of the Rev. Dr. E. N. Jennings, Sr. Rev. Cadwell experience tremendous growth while under Pastor Jennings mentorship, and served as one of his pastor’s armor bearers until July, 1998, when he was called by the venerable Rev. Jack E. Ealy, Sr. to serve as the pastor’s assistant. Rev. Cadwell served in this capacity until July 4, 1999, when he became the Pastor of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Pastor Cadwell’s aggressive method of preaching the Word of God has caused continuous growth in the Mt. Olive church family. His zeal for souls and his love for the children of God have consumed him and led him to create a straight-forward, transparent ministry designed to help God’s people recognize the greatness and power placed in them by the Holy Ghost, and to cause them to break through the barriers that would hold them down. Very forthright in discussing his failures and shortcomings, Pastor Cadwell is a living testimony that the grace of God is infinite, the love of God is everlasting, and that a child of God can triumph even in the midst of failure.
In his quest to prepare himself for the Kingdom’s work, Pastor Cadwell has attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga., and Wayne State University in Detroit, Mi.
Pastor Cadwell is happily married to the dynamic evangelist, Lady Angela Cadwell. Together they have been blessed with seven remarkable children, Charles, Erica, Terrence, Harold III, Dominique, Dwight, and Stephen.
